Since I wash my truck at home and have a water softener, it gets watched with soft water. Not sure I'd go out of my way to look for soft but since I have it that's what gets used.

I really rarely hand wash my truck, but when I do I just use tap water, which is hard... Usually I just hit the automatic, and hand dry when I get home...

None. Stock with options - Roof rack, running boards, hood scoop, etc.
I have yet to hand wash my own truck. I bring it in for automatic car wash for $5 and it does its job and I bring shammy to dry it off completely.

none except for crappy hub caps and floor mats.
I just use a hose. I use old worn out bathroom towels to dry it, which takes care of water spots. My truck is a light color so it doesn't matter anyway. I probably wax it every 2-3 months anyway.

I pressure wash my truck because the tap water in our town is so hard it leaves nasty spots. Theres a bunch of cars out here that park by sprinklers and they let it dry and have to buff it out late on.

    X2.

It's a truck, not a crystal goblet. It's lucky to get washed every now and then.

Just the old tap hard water. It all depends on the soap used and other additional care after you wash it if you ask me.:D
