That video is all well and good but my dad has a canyon (purchased before my Taco) and he would be the first to tell you that our trucks are of much higher quality, and if done over he would join the tacoma addicts of the world. By the way the first time he ever mentioned that was just after shutting the door....to him it even sounded more solid!

    I watched it.

I don't feel any different about my Taco.

My '08 Taco is potentially subject to one recall (clockspring).
    SWMBO's '04 Rav4 had no recalls.
My '03 Tundra had one recall.
SWMBO's '00 Echo had one recall, it was originally "regional" (cold weather related) then later expanded to all vehicles.

My '06 Silverado had 3 recalls the first year I had it.
I bought my '95 Suburban for $2200. I put $3k into it over the next 12 months.
My '93 Blazer's EFI was an endless source of problems.

    No thanks.
While GM is my 2nd choice behind Toyota due to my experiences with Ford being even worse, I will never feel bad about a Toyota.

OnStar? One of the first things I did on my Silverado was pull the "INFO" fuse which disabled the fucking thing.

:facepalm:Why do politics always have to be brought up. I'm pretty sure that has nothing to do with a vehicle comparison.

lol, that video was so false in so many ways, i cant even begin to describe how annyoing it is. longer warranties? lol, we dont need them. and onstar? cool, good thing nobody wants that ugly ass thing. as far as that "styling" goes... that truck is so low to the ground! god forbid a pebble comes between them and their destination. GM is trying sooooo hard, and ads like that dont phase me, and I'll bet Toyota execs are watching it and just laughing.

Looks like I released the hounds with this post.

I posted this as a joke thread. There is NO way I would ever consider buying one of these pieces of shit. Just did not want to give myself a bad rep.

Some people just can't let go.

On a more positive note, I'm pretty sure the reason they pushed Onstar so much is because anyone that own a GMC Canyon is gonna need it when that piece of shit leaves them stranded on the side of the road.

There is no way in hell I even thought about looking at one of them when I was looking to buy a truck a few months ago. My biggest concern was seeing how cheap I could get a Tacoma.

1 Tacomas look better. 2 Tacomas feel better driving. 3 Toyota brought their truck line to the US. GM sends theirs to mexico and canada. All I heard in that was OnStar OnStar OnStar. I dont give two flips about OnStar, of course toyota doesnt have that option its a GM deal. I still say the GM sponsorship stuff should have been kept on the site. Tacomaworld brought to you by GMC.

I've seen a lot negative ratings as far as reliability is concerned with the Colorado/canyon. Motortrend had it ranked at 1the star, where I believe they ranked the taco 4. Or it might have been car and driver. Also, I spoke with a guy that lives near me who owns a Colorado. After he pit 33" bfg ats
The hub shattered one day as he was coming to a stop and almost killed him.
It is a good looking truck though, and nice to see the last of the true, modern compact size trucks on the market.
