I cut some wires here. Added some wires there.
This video sucks. Forget that it's full of bullshit, but it's got the same production quality as the drivers ed videos from the 70s. You can edit video for free online in minutes and 70% of this is words on a screen with about 45 seconds of actual vehicle footage. Bush league.

All you guys that took your sway bar off "for when the going gets tough" must be doing it wrong.

Clever. But by your reasoning, the Canyon now has 3.

Still cant deny the fact that tacoma is the number one best selling mid size truck in america. i believe its held that title for a couple of years. Dont bring that shit up in this thread, There isnt a member on here thats going to agree with such bullshit advertising. Notice how Toyota sticks to telling you about there own trucks and vehicles and there reliability instead of sitting there bullshitting over how the Canyon or the Frontier is such a shitty vehicle in comparsion. Toyota doesnt give a shit, They know they have a damn good truck and they know they have customers that have sticked with them from the first years of the t100 and the 1st gen 4runners. Lets see that canyon put 200,000+ miles on it with just oil changes. HA YAH RIGHT!

    Best Pickup Truck: Toyota Tacoma
A sleeper, the Tacoma gets very little advertising support. Small business owners who don't need a full-size pickup like a Ford F Series or Chevy Silverado have long known that the Tacoma holds its value. It has high reliability, as well. Look for one on the used market, and the prices will amaze you. The Tacoma should continue to be a big winner for Toyota since Ford will soon leave the mid-sized pickup market when the Ranger ends its run. GM may also get out of the mid-sized pickup market.

    Just love the last sentence!

I bet I know which one has more domestic parts and which one has more units assembled in the USA ;) (all current Tacomas made in TX)

IIRC the canyons are made in Taiwan and brazil...

The I-5 started as a 4.2L I-6 in 2002 for the Trailblazer/Envoy/Rainier/Ascender etc. Chop a cylinder off and you get the first 3.5L I-5 for the Colorado/Canyon and chop another off you get the 2.8L I-4. Take the same two engines and increase their displacement and you get the current 3.7L and 2.9L engines.

Like most everybody said I don't care about onstar or the tailgate and I imagine when it comes down to it the V-6 probably has more torque than the I5 besides the fact that the numbers were pretty close together anyway. As far as handling went in the video that tacoma was like 3 inches taller than the canyon, so of course it is going to sway more during cornering!

I'll stick with my 250,000+ mile capable tacoma which I think looks better anyway. Although I have seen some good looking Canyon's too.

I want all the competition in the midsize mkt that I can get. If it's not there, you can be sure the Tacoma development will become stagnant. Want a diesel? Want some diff gear ratios? Don't hold your breath. It's what happens when you sit on top w/o getting knocked around some.

Not that the Taco is bad. But lack of competition is good for Toyota and bad for us.

I dont think Toyota will ever stop making reliable trucks and really coming out with good development options and ideas, They seem to take there time and only come out with things they know are top of the line and are going to sell exceptionally well.

That guy sure was excited about that onstar haha. My buddy had a canyon and I think the interior is very very cheaply made.
