Did water come through your weather stripping on the doors like the silverado? I've been thinking about beefing mine up some how...maybe adding some silicone or something to make the seal tighter. I already routed every breather on the truck into the cab and sealed all the rubber entry points to the cab.

I went through water up to the door sills with the stock breather. No water contamination.

I also wanted to add, if you don't have a drill or you don't want to drill a hole, you can zip tie the breather to the fender brace. The brace is located behind the removable pocket. Just make sure to remove the pocket carefully, I broke some of the tabs and used a screw to hold it place.

Isn't the only way for water to get into the engine is through the air intake ?

Holy doodle AK, you're cutting it really close there, glad you made it through ok! The air intake sits right on top of the passenger side wheel well and it looks like at the beginning the water was right there. I'd probably check the air filter to see if it got wet...

Where I live I get flooded out once every year. I learned a few things about crossing water: take it slooowly, know the car (location of intake, breathers), be careful when breaking afterwards and don't hit the salmon ;-)
