Living in Portland we see a fair share of rainfall, now that winter is here it has been raining pretty regularly. This being said lately I have had rainwater leaking into my cab and it is starting to smell really bad due to mildew. The water seems to be under the carpet on the passenger side along the door-sill and running along the cab to the rear of the truck. Water isn't leaking from the windows or any on the driver's side so I know it is confined to just the passenger side. Anyone else experience this issue and/or have solutions? Thanks in advance!

Make sure you rule out a door seal leaking, too. The way you describe it, sounds like it could be coming from the front of the door, and running down the kick panel or something...Dry the front/rear door sills off so they are good and dry inside/out, then hose it off real good.

If you rule out door seals leaking, the TSB mentioned in the link above is probably your next best bet.

if it's not coming from firewall, door seals, windows or clogged AC drain, it might be coming from a leaky windshield.

I had a leak on driver's side that turned out to be coming from the upper corner of windshield, driver's side. It would drip along the A pillar (behind the plastic piece with the handle), then the sidewall, then behind kickpanel and down onto the floor. This leak was hard to find because it was hidden behind plastic interior pieces of the cab, out of view

anyway, if it can help you:

Thanks for this discussion. I am wondering how long the 2 different fixes lasted that people did.

Two fixes for this have been seen on the forum. Under the windshield the cowling hides a body cavity beneath which has a seam which can leak. I covered the seam with Gorilla tape and fixed my leak. There is also a drain tube in this space which gets clogged and overflows. Open the passanger door and shine a flashlight behind the fender panel to follow the drain. Also mine clogs up where the back of the front fender panel meets the door post, A shop vac and air gun opened it up allowing water to drain there.

Yeah the writeups on here detail it pretty clearly. I never got around to completing this as I pawned the truck off as a trade-in on a 3rd gen during summer when the leak couldn't be detected :) Good luck!
