Wax for scratches?

What is the best wax to cover scratches? My color is impulse red, pearlized??

 

How deep are they? Any pics?

 

No pic's yet... the scratches are from my belt buckle. I would say they are very light minor scratches.

 

Any sort of polish will work. You should then follow that up with wax as well to protect it.

Don't get cleaning compound or anything with harsh abrasives, that would be bad!

 

I was thinking of using a wax that had colorant in it already. I just didn't know if the color in the wax would make the scratches stand out or disappear? Because the paint is pearled.

 

That should be fine, but I would still use a polish and then a wax first.

 

I used a Meguiar's quick wax. It only minimized the very smallest scratches. Worked good as a wax though. I'll try the colored on next.

 

Have a go with Meguires NXT, it is expensive but the results are outstanding. I can do my whole truck in about 30 minutes, Wax on, wax off without the arm ache.

 

try some scratch x.....i believe meguiars has it, then polish and wax, then you should be good to go!!

 

This is what I use to do with my wife's old suv and it did the trick,as long its for minor scratchs.

 

Has anyone ever used nufinish? I would assume it's the same as scratch x but since nufinish doesn't have meguiars name on it I would think it would be a little cheaper.

 

i think nufinish is more of a polish than a scratch remover.

I always felt that Meguiar's Cleaner Wax removed swirls and minor scratches as well as Scratch-X.

 

If small and not clear through the paint. McGuiars' Scratch X, and Harley Davidsons' swirl & scratch treatment works real well $5 for 8 oz.. Shouldn't hurt the clear coat with either. Us harley rider are a picky lot I might add.

 

what about the scratches behind the door handles.
