Anybody else feel like the A/C fan in their truck blows very weak? Anytime I use it it’s pretty much always on full blast. All the notches below that you can barely tell it’s on. Wondering if that’s just how these trucks are or if I need to take it to the dealer.

I do have a HEPA cabin filter. That could be slowing their airflow at the intake. Though I pulled it out and didn’t notice much improvement. Currently on the hunt for a filter with a high flow that actually filters the air better than the paper towels they sell at Autozone.

No low flow but I noticed my fan bearing making noise at 1k with the factory filter. Have thought about a HEPA however little worried it would only make it worse. Need to get into the dealer and get it replaced.

Still should run full blast on high.

There was a tsb recall for the blower wheel that had a tendency to strip out when the truck was started with the fan on full blast. Mine was replaced under warranty a few years back.

the aftermarket HEPA filters drastically reduce airflow. I need to put a regular filter back in.

Looks like this is only for '16 and '17 model years. I seem to be having the same issue this morning in my '22. I had to run my defrost the entire half hour drive into work this morning just to keep the windshield from frosting over again... and it never got warm in the cab really. I've never had this before today though. I'm guessing the intake is blocked or something.
Does anyone know where the intake for the fan/fan location is on the 3rd gen's? I see alot of information on 2nd gen blower fans on the forum, but not much on 3rd gen.

Is it blowing hot out of the vents? I’d check your coolant levels. You might have a leak

Yep! It's hot, but even after turning up the fan all the way it still doesn't have very high airflow.

The recall was due to the blower motor stripping out. If/when that happens the blower motor won't spin and you won't get any airflow from the vents. Mine stripped out in the middle of AZ summer heat and although the ac worked the fan didn't have the ability to direct airflow to the vents. I'm not sure if that's your issue, but the intake is under the windshield cowl next to the passengers side windshield wiper. Open the hood up and you'll see a vent in the cowl. You might pull the cabin air filter in the glovebox and check for any debris that might've fallen into the hvac blower motor. Your cabin air filter might need replacing as well.

You have a 2022 which is under warranty. I'd make a service appt. at the dealer.

Basics. Tires, painted headlighes, UHLM, baby winch in the bed, and heated mirrors :)
Also make sure no critters made a home in the cabin air box or under the cowling. Try running it on recirc mode(or with the filter door open) and see if airflow gets any better. If it does, you have a blockage.

Do you know for sure the fan is spinning at all the speed settings? If it only spins on high, you have a bad resistor module. Common problem. Just change that and upgrade the harness. If it spins weakly at all settings, disconnect and reconnect the harness, could be a loose connection. If not, it may be a bad motor.

Keep in mind that a decent amount of air flows through the vents while the truck is in motion even if the fan is off, due to the ram air and Venturi effect of the cabin vents(in the rear of the cab).

just saw this, I believe the intake should be in the same location as the second gen, under the hood cowling on the firewall

Thanks for that info. Definitely gonna check these things out. If it's a bad resistor module the dealership better get their wrenches ready lol.
