I'll take an aluminum diamond plate in black too. Do I just order the smooth one and note that it's diamond plate?

    Bingo! 4 people interested.
I'm fairly sure that Eric will chime in here and tell us what to do.

Assuming pay pal as an option here.

    SWEET.
    :D

Going to be nice to be able to work right on the tail gate.

I picke up one of these a couple months ago. mine is the steel one and I still need to get paint on it and install the thing. A bent tailgate is a real pisser and will make the $100 for one of these seem dirt cheap!

How did you note that this payment was for the aluminum diamond plate? Has Eric sent you instructions to clarify for this since it's a special order?

I added a note in the comments section saying it was part of this special order and referenced tacomaworld. I have. PM out as well. If he is doing a special run, I wanted to get the funds to him ASAP so he wouldn't have to wait.

Yeah, anyone that wants diamond plate, just order on my site and select the standard aluminum option, but be sure to put in the notes/special requests field the order is to be Diamond plate aluminum. I'll print out the orders I have tomorrow morning and then get material coming in this week for them. Also, if you've already ordered on my site, how about you give me your order number so I can reference as well just in case someone forgot to mention diamond plate in the notes.

Site order #'s and TW username for my reference.

If we have more than 4 people interested, I'll do a run of 8. I get 4 reinforcements per sheet of material when I order it, so multiples of 4 are preferred. Thanks everyone for the orders!

My order number is 782. I referenced it as well, but just wanted to make sure. Thanks again!

Also, I came across one order asking about how far down the reinforcement goes on the outside, the current design is about 1.25" IIRC, not 2" like it was initially in some old photos. Main reason is customer preference and also some tooling restraints from the shop that bends these for me

And for those wanting powder coat, here is an image of the coating I use(pictured on a set of sliders)

That powder coat is exactly what I was looking for. Glad I ordered it as well.

    I have 2questions
1 is the smooth aluminum as strong at the steel? I like the aluminum one for the weight savings.
2 do you make them for the 07 and up Tundra? I have a buddy who needs this bad for his truck.
    Thanks

    Awesome!
Aluminum is not going to be quite as tough, however I ran one for years and never had an issue. The aluminum is my preference for the weight advantage, however I started offering the steel for those that are skeptical about aluminum.
I havent done one for the Tundra, but I know a guy with one locally so it should be as simple as spending a 1/2 hr with a tapemeasure and my computer in CAD, then test fitting the initial prototype after it's made. If your buddy wants one, have him get in touch and I'll bump it up in my priority list a tad and get one made. :)

That was me asking about the outside measurement. The size you have now sounds perfect to me. Thanks.

    Hey Eric.
I'm in for one, but something is going on with my pay pal account. They can't help me tonight, I'll have to call them back tomorrow.
Please let me get in on this when I get this straightened out tomorrow. Been trying all evening, errgh.
