Wedge or TC Drop

Discussion in '1st Gen. Tacomas (1995-2004)' started by Cheesycook, Jan 9, 2011.

What driveline angle fix should I use with a 2.5 inch lift on a 2004 DC 4x4 TRD?

I am getting ready to do a lift. Going for 5100's, OME 2.5 inch lift rear leaf packs and Toytec upper control arms. My issue is that I don't like having to pull things apart twice as I work an insane amount of hours and am lucky to get one day off a week. I want to take one day away from the family and get it all done asap. I have done lifts on Jeeps in the past but larger than this. I am concerned about vibrations, whether I can feel them or not.

Can anyone recommend using a leaf spring shim or a Transfer case drop?

Not sure why you would want to do a transfer case drop. If you still have the stock two piece drive shaft, tc drop wont have the effect you want anyway.

You might consider lowering the carrier bearing if you have vibes after lifting.
