So Cal, somewhere between Palm Springs and LA

    2016 Tacoma SR5 4x4, tow pkg
We will be picking up our 2018 r-pod 176 in a week and will be towing with our 2016 Taco 4x4 v-6 w/towing package: a Class IV towing receiver, a transmission cooler, engine oil cooler, power steering cooler, heavy-duty 130-amp alternator, a 4- and 7-pin connector with converter as well as a Trailer-Sway Control feature. The trailer dealer is recommending an e2 WD/Anti-sway set up. We think this might be a bit of overkill for the trailer (20' long, dry weight just under 3,000 lbs). If any of you have experience with similar combination of TV and TT and can offer recommendations or advice we'd certainly appreciate it.

IMG_0043.jpg My camper is 3400 dry. 19ft long. I use an Anderson WDH. It makes the ride smooth and it tows very well

I have a Winnie Drop 1710 tear drop R-Pod clone. I have used the Anderson hitch which gives both weight distribution and sway control in a bolt on package. No welding or drilling required. I love how quiet it is in operation but the process of putting it on is a bit of work. You have to unthread the chains and when you put it back on you end up guessing (at least I do) as to how much tension to put on them. Fortunately with the light weight of the R-Pod you won't need a lot of weight transfer and the sway control of the Anderson hitch is great.
