How much weight are we trying to shove on the bed to make the backend heavier? Right now I'm rocking my spare tire mounted in the bed and a 20 gallon fuel cell on a custom fabricated bed mount that taps into the filler neck. Eventually I want to get a second spare mounted in the bed, if I ever take a trip longer than 2 or 3 days I may have to invest in a bed rack.

I'm not sure if that would be too much rear weight, or if that is even possible for a true prerunner?

Stock already has a 21 gallon fuel tank and spare in the rear so I’d say you haven’t gained nothing in the back yet.

edit: I misread. So you still have the stock tank also?

Over stock, I went from the 31 inch tire to a 34 and the weight of the tire carrier. I also am using both the stock fuel tank and the fuel cell. So all together maybe 240 pounds increase? I'm just not sure if there is a consensus 60/40 or 50/50 weight distribution we aim to hit for our trucks.

Full size prerunners hold 80 or so gallons of fuel behind the rear axle and two 39-40" spares.
