anyone with full armor (skids/sliders/bumpers) and lift/tires that have weighed their truck? I’m looking at buying a lift and the limit on it is 7k lbs and need to know if I will get anywhere near that

Well the heaviest 3rd gen stock is about 4,500 pounds so I don't think you would be anywhere close to adding another ton with just armor and wheels/tires. I think you will be fine but just have to be aware of how much you can load the bed up with the increased armor weight.

Legitimate armor builders such as @Mobtown Offroad and @Shmellmopwho can provide the exact weight of their products. I bought Ryan’s sliders locally from him (he’s near Long Beach) and his bolt-ons with kickouts for DCSB’s weigh about 75 lbs each, and I got a full 3-part set of steel skids from Mobtown that weigh around 150 lbs, so you are looking at about 300 lbs for some of the thickest steel armor alone. You could shave off quite a lot of weight going with Mobtown’s aluminum skids, but increased cost and less resistance to gouging and scrapes over steel may be an issue depending on your budget and driving needs.

    Ours:

    Front Bumper: 120 lbs
    Rear Bumper: 110 lbs
Rear High Clearance Bumper: 135 lbs
    Swingout: 60-90 lbs
    Sliders: 150 lbs
    Steel Skids: 150 lbs

Don’t forget the forgotten weights like a winch, weight of fuel or water in your rotopaks and Jerry cans if you have them.

Cool thanks for all the repsonses guys, obviously I wouldnt be putting the truck on the lift with the bed loaded up, jerry cans and water. This caught my eye though and I think I am going to put in on my list because I do 90% of my installs and maintenance myself.

Although I feel like I would have to test it because I have no idea what the suspension difference will be once that goes on. This wont work with long travel for sure.

    That’s pretty cool!

We have a Snapon 2 post 8000 lb lift in the shop. It’s ideal for everything less slider installs. Craigslist find for $500.

Oof! I just added all of them up. 725lbs. With an adult or two, that's max payload for my truck. I need to source some lightweight sliders for my truck.

Man I feel dumb, I was thinking you were getting a suspension lift for your truck, not a service lift lol.

No such thing other than our Aluminum Overland Sliders. 70 lbs installed and can be hi lifted from but don’t expect them to survive bashing on rocks.

Honestly I bet most of us that have/are building/ or have had are over the max payload. I wish I would have weighed my last truck loaded before I sold her
