    Hey all TW friends!!!

i have a question that some of you might have encountered or heard of or are just geniuses (Chris4X4..)

    I have an 07 4.0 V6 4X4 Double Cab with a 6Speed Manual trans.

In the past month or two i have been having some weird troubles with my acceleration...what happens is i will be cruising say at 50 mph and in 5th or 6th gear and i will accelrate, not really hard, but hard enough..prolly about 3/4ths the way down on the throttle and the rpms will shoot up to 3-4,000 and stay there but the truck will only go faster really slowly...like the wheels are only matching slightly above the previous acceleration and then they will gradually lower a bit to match the trucks speed once it gets faster which takes forever...

its almost as if the gears are disengaging a little under more than 1/2 acceleration, like i am pushing in the clutch a little but i am not...and it does this in ALL gears...so if i accelerate hardish the rpms will go up really quick but the truck will only go faster very slowly...like it is trying to catch up... it is really bothering me because i know it shouldn't be doing this

i am prolly going to take it in to the dealer tomorrow but i wanted some input so i have some ammo if they start bs-ing me

    THANKS:D

    Clutch slippage?
My 2010 doesn't do that when I put the hammer down. It just goes. I have the 6 speed tranny also.
I'd have the dealer take a look at it.

How many miles on your clutch? What you describe is usually the very first sign that a clutch is worn out.

Also, if you keep running with the old clutch this will soon progress to slip down to the lower gears one at a time.... until ultimately truck no go.

Agreed about the clutch. Fortunately, this shoud be covered under the powertrain warranty.:)

My questions, since I have the auto, is the clutch adjusable to fix the slipping problem?

Sounds like the clutch and it's a wear item. Not under warranty. You can try dealer but? With all the other 6 speed problems I've read about please keep us posted on the results. If I have to do mine I'll definitely upgrade the clutch. I think the stock one is too weak for a truck.
