Weird delayed engagement incident today

Just got the truck back. Transmission was 1/2 quart low, filled up now. Zero issues with getting them to check things out and the got it done, as well as one other thing, in a timely manner.

 

if you guys with this symptom want to band together, then i think you'll get some attention by reporting your individual cases to the NHTSA. if they get a number of similar complaints affecting safety, then they will investigate it and report progress to you the whole way. it's easy to do.

i had a similar symptom on my last car from a software glitch... the symptom was almost exactly the same as what's reported in this thread. NHTSA investigated it and DSG software was eventually updated as a result. of course it took forever but that's the deal.

i would do this as a group simply to make Toyota aware of the discontent.

I am surprised. I think my truck was built in April or May of 2017

 

I agree . Thought we had enough members calling corp to eliminate the issue . Guess not ??

Just had similar experience, dealership worked with me and found to be exactly 1/2 quart low also. So far all my negative experiences with the transmission has been fixed from delayed engagement to cold weather lunging. Annoyed about the fact it was bad from factory but glad it is all figured out.

 

Lunging has gotten much better...in fact I don't recall it doing it since I got the truck back. I will have to pay attention. Glad you got yours figured out too, agreed it is annoying but sounds like we have good dealers working on our trucks
