maybe I'm crazy, maybe the truck is, I don't know. Here's the thing though.
2013 Tacoma double cab TRD Sport 4x4, 6" lift. Whenever I take a curve at speeds >25mph, I hear a whiring noise that I can only describe as like an electric motor or actuator maybe. It's only for a second or two and sounds like it's maybe coming from the dash or steering column.
    1. Anyone else noticed a similar issue?
    2. Is there even a mechanism that would make that type of sound in the area?

My first assumption would be front wheel bearings but those were not installed in the dash last time I checked. Maybe needle bearing? Power steering pump can make noises but that would be ANY time the wheel is turned and you can easily tell that noise is under the hood.

Def the VSC trying to decide if it wants to activate ABS. You can recalibrate it, but if the ABS isn't actually kicking on there's no real problem.

No, it doesn't apply the brakes. Thanks for the info guys, I'm glad to know that it's the truck, not me that is crazy. I'll keep an eye/ear on it and if I notice any for-the-worse changes, I'll head to the mechanic.

If it activates the VSC/ ABS, there's an easy DIY to recalibrate it.
