A guy just as well disconnect the a/c so the damn thing don't come on when you turn it on. It would be better than breathing the bacteria, fungus, or mold going into your lungs. Sad to have to think about doing this after a man shells out $25,000 plus on a new truck.

you can spend 25k, 5k or 100k, you'll likely have the same issues. Mold doesn't give a fuck how much you spend on your car

I've tried many of the remedies recommended on TW for this VERY common issue. If I'm not careful, it can get to smelling really really bad quickly. This kit is great - foam to coat the condenser (through the drainpipe under the truck) followed by the spray to clean the vents. Best of all, this doesn't smell as terrible as others I've tried (FrigiFresh, I'm looking at you...) and seems to keep it under control. During warm months I do this about every 2 months.

Plus, I try to, at least a few times a week, roll down my windows and turn the vents to pull outside air in while blowing heat out of the front facing vents to dry out any condensation - most of the time I do this daily when I'm a couple miles from the house.

Since I don't drive the truck every day, I park under a tree for the shade, cover the top, windshield, and cowling with a free HF tarp. Keeps the pollen out of the cabin filter, which keeps air fresher, and cleaner longer. Also keeps crud from building up around the wiper posts.
