I have an 08 regular cab and I have noticed that I have a weird rippling in the paint on the bottom of my doors and where that clear protector is right behind the door. Is this normal? I looked at another regular cab in a parking lot and they didn't have it. Someone let me know. Thanks

Is it rippled, or is it small dimples?

If it is what I think it is, I have this on my truck, too. I also has it on the Lexus I owned before I got the truck. It's something Toyota does for aerodynamics (maybe noise reduction, too?).

Do you have pictures? I can't tell from your description if we're talking about the same thing.

Coheed, i have this as well on my 08 DC, its along the bottom of the doors. Originally though it was some sort of additional protection against rock chips or whatever...

if its small dimples then its normal.... its more rugged there and stronger for rocks and stuff like that. i personally like it cuz it helps the truck not get dings down there
