I loved both of my gen2 trucks (over 300K on each one), but they had major issues also.

Rusted frame replaced on one, rear leaf springs/shocks replaced per tsb on both vehicles, ongoing driveline vibrations at low speed acceleration could never be resolved on either vehicle even after 4 TSBs (replace carrier bearing, replace trans & engine mounts, replaced u joints, replace driveshaft, install some steering wheel mod to minimize the drivetrain vibration to the driver). Other than that, they were great vehicles (yeah right)

It seems Toyota has done nothing to address the vibration issues in the third gen. I checked my front driver CV axle and it has all the symptoms of the loose needle bearing/carrier housing. They don't seem too concerned with fixing these flawed designs that result in excessive vibrations.

Same here. Plenty of get and go for me and prior to my last taco, it was
big V8's for me. I've done the same w/ the ECT button, pushing that thing
makes it move a bit too much around town and before I know it I'm at 50

So what do you plan on buying? Most full size trucks are made in Mexico

I work as an engineer at Ford. I have nothing but good things to say about our teams in Mexico. They know their stuff and work hard. Absolutely zero complaints from me about them.

I would put money on people saying differently don't have any experience working with engineers or auto manufacturing there.

Toyota sold out and went cheap most of the new tacomas are Mexican made garbage , I guess they didn't want professional Union assembly anymore

Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.
    .
My experiences with TOYOTA have been excellent overall. Been buying their products since 1970s. Had a few burps, but IMO TOYOTA & Honda are best vehicles on the planet for the money.

PS. "J-Cars" (vehicles built in Japan) are the best IMO and most people agree too.

None with mine either. My truck, a TRD Sport Auto has been terrific. I am now getting 23.7 IMP MPG and that is almost 100% city driving. Engine braking is a nice feature when slowing down for stop signs. Saves brakes. The Tacoma is a truck not a car. Toyota reputation for quality long lasting vehicles sold me and I remain sold. Neighbours RAM diesel has been a disaster for him. He requires a heavier truck than Toyota offers and will try Ford or GM next time.

Yeah, like you're going to say anything bad, dick sucker! LOL

No but really. You're an engineer. Anything you say bad would be nothing but an admission of fucked up engineering regardless of Mexicans building the trucks or not.

    YOu Union?

Don't worry if history remains true that Chrysler tranny will stop shifting in no time and he'll be happier than ever!

Buying a Chrysler built jeep in like buying a Knock off Rolex.
Might look good, but get it wet, and it's all shit.

    2 suggestions.

Have you tried taking out of park and not driving with your foot on the brake peddle?

    2nd, don't breed.

...and frankly you're whining like a little bitch. MAN THE FUCK UP have TOYOTA FIX IT TO YOUR SATIFACTION and QUIT FUCKING CRYING! Jesus!
