So we buy armor for our trucks. The goal is to protect ourselves.

This morning I did a 540 and my rear end hit a tree at about 40mph. I had a pretty bog standard Pelfreybilt rear bumper on the truck, and the impact was basically right on the left side of the license plate flat area. I ended up with a small dent in the tailgate and a fairly bent bumper. No real damage to the truck that armor could have prevented [I popped the front tire off the bead and destroyed a TPMS by bouncing through a ditch sideways]. The bumper is bowed out fairly bad but it did its job.

This bumper has my seal of approval and I'm placing an order for a replacement this weekend.
