Its unfortunate that with the economic crisis, environmental funding is the first to be cut, looks like in both of our countries. Hopefully that won't effect your job.

That 200 mil from NSF bugs me, seeing as NSF funds a good chunk of our polar ops.

Coast guard originally had that mission VXE-6, but Operation Deep Freeze is handled by us (has been for a while now).

This plan does not stimulate me.

well, love him or hate him, it won't matter, time will uncover every defficiency and error, and of course hind sight being what it is, which is 20/20.

The reality is that we're coming upon a economic day or reckoning. The whole economic "plan" of giving people more purchasing power with more debt has been around for close to 30 years. Indeed, we've borrowed from China, Japan, Europe, and all those other countries who've assumed that we're basically a bunch of suckers who will keep right on going into debt forever. Well, that machine is not going to work anymore, and stimulus or not, the hard reality is that we're all going to have to get used to living with a lot less-or in other words- living within our means, which for a lot of people means a humble realization of how to correctly measure the value of their purchasing ability.

Of course Wall Street doesn't want to hear that. But I'm sure they're painfully aware of it.

I'm sorry but talk about making the US dollar worthless. And I bet it will be just like the Financial Bailout. Most money will go to the people that don't need it. like the higher ups that already are making 6 figures a yr.

Its unlikely they would do that since the American dollar is still somehow seen as a safe currency-per the near collapse of the UK economy and the uncertainty of the Euro. But if China and other countries decided to dump their dollars, we would indeed be totally screwed.
