Interior “retroficaton” (in progress) Airbag removal (1st gen/high explosive type) Hard Tonneau (on it when I got it) New grill, with custom badge Light Steelies S-Runner suspenion
I bought myself a 1995 Tacoma, base 2WD, short cab, long bed, pretty/very stock. Presently dark red/garnet.

I’ve previously been very active on the Scion forums (former member of Scikotics & moderator on xB2 forum) for my 2009 xB, which was pretty modded out.
I also have a 1990 Miata that has been impersonating a 1960s Team Lotus race car since 2000 (done in memory of Jimmy Clark & because the Miata resembles a cross between the Lotus 25/33 & Elan, updated for 1990s).

My daughter has taken the xB, the Miata is 39 years old & parts can be slow (too many 1.6 NA “parts cars” are racing to have available materials). So, I went vehicle shopping.
Having been a fan for a long time & particularly impressed since the Top Gear HiLux specials, I spotted a little Taco in the local Dodge dealer used car lot.
Instead of getting my daughter a car, I got the truck & she got the B.

Now the kids are older, the 3 seats (tight) of the bench should be enough. 3 doesn’t work well in the Miata ... passenger seats a but narrow for a 15 year old athlete & his friends. Plus, the bed can hold sports equipment well. It’s got a hard tonneau/hatch, so it can be locked & kept dry too.

The bed cover just tall enough to cover & lock-up my 501st Legion kit totes, so no one reaches in & steals my TIE pilot or Gunner stuff (that crap’s EXPENSIVE!!!).
If anyone else is a member, I’m Jokr of the Carolina Garrison (First Through The Door!).

As my xB was previously quite retro-ed out in Toyota stuff (even winning awards at one time), I have lots of “T3q” stuff- hats, patches, badges, stickers. I plan to transfer all that to the 95 Taco (daughter gets NONE! hahahahaha).

The truck is in great mechanical shape for it’s age, though quite scratched & a few larger dents. It won’t be a shower, but a goer- plus, no worries of it being hit by a foul ball or homerun!

It’s a stock base, with hard fiberglass tonneau, bug shield, & whatever I do to it on-going.
It’s - 2wd manual tranny, manual steering, manual windows, manual locks, & just about everything else, plus bench seat, fixed headrests, & notch.

    Mods in first 24 hours:
Removed stupid “buzzsaw” hubcaps (still has 14” steelies)
Removed stupid visor that wouldn’t stay up (My Miata hasn’t had that in nearly 20 years)
Ordered Hella housings (been very happy with the ones on the Miata)
New stereo, this one has bluetooth hands free, & is the cheap Pioneer from Walmart-the one that was it it didn’t work.
Fix bolt holding down center part of seat belts & the one on the rear of the passenger side of the bench.
Modded a cupholder to be secure in the notch & hold 30oz Yeti/Walmart version cups, yet still be removable (I got the small 2-cupped from O’Reily’s, added a plastic plate to go under the bench (keep from tipping forward) & threaded 2 straps through the bench front under frame -with parachute disconnects, for easy release)

    Planned mods:
Swap to the 15” steelies from
the B when get new tires (same lug pattern), or look at light-weight alloys.
Seat covers (with T3q logos on headrests)- not sure material or if to keep tan
Play with grill & emblems (I have vintage FJ40, T-logo & word vintage Toyota Truck, & round 3” t3q emblems I’d like to be able to swap out.
Not sure what else ... I only bought ut yesterday afternoon ....

    (Obsessed???)

I know there’s good info on here & good membership in the past (I’ve been looking at posts for years, for ideas for the B). I hope it’s still pretty active.

Edit-What the heck did I do to the title? Carolina has a few ... extra letters. Please fix that, as It won’t let me.

Is my Taco the only 95 2WD on here?
I had no idea they were “rare.” It is probably the stockest, as just about everything is original- not that it will stay that way. I can’t leave ANYTHING “alone.”
It’s also the most basic of basic models- nuthin powered except the engine & radio.

Any other 95 or 96 2wds on here?
