Take it elsewhere and also you need to take pics of it at their shop and where they left it last you've seen. Also please empty out your things inside the truck.

Considering the age of the truck, it looks totaled. It's only gonna take $6-7K in repairs to hit 80% of the value. That does not mean it's not repairable though.

Take it somewhere else, fix it yourself, or just let the insurance company have it. No good options here. It just sucks.

Allot of work and money over the years.. and its been paid off for awhile now.. I like not having a payment *sigh*

I already unbolted everything i could.. Do not have old rims sold em.. but it get's funnier.. The insurance company called me and had to ask what car i had in for repair because this shop sent over a quote for a 2010 lexus =\ lol I told the wife to slap me upside the head if i ever decide to use a local business again instead of a chain... too many bad experiences. and shitty work.. the last guy i paid thought it was a good idea to use sheet srcews to fix my fender... I'm all for supporting local businesses especially in times like this...but not again for things like this lol

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
Just remember that insurance can't tell you who does the work. They can only require you to get a quote from specific shops but then if someone else does the work, It can be annoying to get additional costs covered. (Add'l cost from the damages you don't find until you get digging into the work of it like brackets, special fasteners, wires, etc.)

I had minor hassle with a shop earlier this year. They kept insisting I was leaving it for them to do the work but all I wanted was the quote because insurance required a quote from a shop "in network". I had to point out all the brackets and clips behind the bumper and light to get those added to quote before i left because they just looked from outside, didnt even open hood or crawl underneath. I eventually got a check and did the work myself. OEM parts off eBay. Friend did paint.

True, most dealerships have security. I almost got busted going through their dumpster for HID headlights. He let me off.

The Trucks Totaled, The guy at the shop told me he had to cut that front section out and weld in another, which requires to remove the dash and wiring.. He also said because the passenger side had rust he had to cut that side out and do the same.. ( now the passenger side just had surface rust) ( truck was originally from NY) So i mentioned that to him and he said because of safety concerns he has to replace it.. So not sure if that side had to be replaced or not.. just didnt want to argue.. so looked as if he was replacing the entire front of the truck.. Cost he gave the insurance company 12k... looks like ill have allot of stuff for sale soon... unless i find another LB tacoma

Was part of his quote he sent to insurance... trucks waiting to be taken to the tow yard It took me 45 min to remove the front and rear bumper the tail lights, the rest of the wilco tire gate.. the meso leds and front ditch light brackets

Im gonna take a hit on the URD heavy flywheel and Icon suspension.. and maybe sliders if i cant figure out a way to cut them off without fudging them up

Funny thing is I fit all that into my wifes Murano LOL
