Well decided to start a ar15 build. I already got my lower receiver and ordered a BCM Gunfighter charging handle with sticker of coarse. Now the question i have is does anyone know where i could get a complete upper receiver with a 1:9 twist. Also want a 16in. in. barrel and 5.56 nato chambering for around 500 bucks. Any help would be appreciated thanks guys.

Why does it have to be 1/9 twist?

Anyways, this is what I would get hands down.http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BCM-...eiver-light-weight-p/bcm-urg-mid-16lw bfh.htm
Add some Magpul handguards for ~$30 and you've got a top quality carbine.

Uhhh... he is gonna need a bolt and bolt carrier too. Thats 100-150 right there.

The ONLY reason youd want a 1/9 twist barrel over a 1/7 and I mean the ONLY reason is if you want to use it with a .22 rimfire conversion... and even then you are better off getting a dedicated .22lr upper IMO.

Well the length could be longer as for the twist rate i was told for varmints and plinking I wouldn't need the 1:7 that was for heavier bullets. the 5.56 nato is the only thing i really want. I like to be able to shoot with or without a bipod, use a scope, and be able to take it of and use iron sights for screwing around. Hope the extra information might help. I'm having trouble finding upper receivers not sold out.

There is a new place out of here that offered a really good deal on ar's. I'm not sure if they still offer the low price. Search del-ton.com.

    Buy once cry once.

Speaking from experience, the 1/7 twist will work just fine on 45gr. on up.

I'd own a Stag upper if it was just for plinking and hunting. You should also check put CMMG in that price range.

You should try gunbroker.com, its pretty much the ebay for guns. M4carbine.net has alot of good info on builds also.

There is Daniel Defense and LMT to consider too. Both just as good as BCM...

I have a BCM upper and BCG. Never let me down yet. Also have a DSA ZM4 Upper on another build. Def not bad for the price for a plinker.
