send me a PM if you decide on a verticle front grip. I might have an extra that I could part with for cheap.

What are your intentions for this rifle and what is the max range you can shoot at at the places you plan on shooting it?

a 20 inch barrel wont really give you that much more velocity that you will notice. Unless you plan on shooting 450-500+ yards its not worth it (IMO)

I really think its more the look than the function of the longer barrels. When i go home to pa I can shoot 300-350 yrds but mostly around 100-150. Either way I'll be mounting a bipod on the range wither its 16in. or 20in. I'm going to shoot anything i can with this rifle:rolleyes:

I just ordered a non stainless version, I have heard nothing but good stuff about them.
They do seem to fly out of their door quick as many are back ordered.

I do need a BCG and charging handle as well so remember that if you do not have them already.

Not sure about the 1/8 twist barrel's. Never shot one.

Anything from BCM will be top notch so you dont have to worry about quality issues.
look up what gr bullets shoot best with a 1/8 twist barrel and see if that will fit your needs.

mine has a 1/7 but it shoots the 55gr stuff just fine. If you like the looks and it will suit you then I say go for it.

I looked the bullet grain up its supposed to be middle of the road. 1:8 isn't great at buttom or top of the weight spectrum but good in all the middle weights, But your right BCM is the shit and will difinately buy from them again. My next project just may be all BCM

I think my local gun shop already has their ffl license on file with BCM so I will probably get one of their blem lowers for another build in the future.

    a 14.5" mid length system!

A guy i went to school with owns the largest gun shop in PA and they now sell suppressors. he's got a .308 ar-10 that sounds like a .22. I'm going to see if he can't get me a deal
