If it wont aim right and you can get a comprehensive claim , it might be worth a try with insurance

Same thing happened on my first gen :( Used a soldering iron and melted the bits back together. Works well for now, highly recommended if you still have the original tab (which it seems you do)

In all honesty depending on your insurance you might be better off making a claim on those. For sure got hit by something. I expect those are pricey from the dealer.

They are "aftermarket" or moded. So I doubt they will cover it, and if they did it wouldn't be for the top pro headlight

May have been some pre-existing hairline cracking from shipping. According to the OEM LED megathread, some people were getting headlights shipped from dealers with broken tabs.

I’m on my 4th set of headlights. Buying cheap ones from China isn’t the answer

Unless OEM ones are from China, I have not even considered it.

Just saying they can get damaged in shipping, and it may not be immediately obvious.

On all my vehicles I remove the metal bolts/screws that hold down the top of the headlight's and replace with plastic rivets. With the Tacoma the headlight is very solid without the metal screws and since, the plastic nut's protrude up thru the headlight tabs I decided to not install rivets. Seriously, the headlight doesn't budge and who knows it may just take a small bump without breaking the lens ?
