Sorry, I wasnt very clear. Has someone mounted both cameras to the windshield, one facing forward and one facing rearward?

Actually the one that mCat linked may work for you. The picture looks like 14-pin, but Dongar is calling it 7-pin. In any case it looks like it might work.

I'm very interested in the adaptor set up. But first, in an attempt to clean/ organize this amazing thread, It might be a good idea for anyone posting to

    1. specify if you purchased the 1st or 2nd gen adaptor
    2. what camera/sd card combo you're using
    3. set up pic
    4. any issues you are encountering since install-- camera, sd card, mount, or adaptor issues

That way we can get into the 2nd gen adaptor. My order is in for the adaptor and mini GARMIN camera.
I will put close up pics when they come in and will also do an install/ set up and driving video so all can see.

I'm not trying to take over anyones thread, there is a ton of good information here and this is an easy mod. Thank you all for taking the time to post. It has speeded my decision making process. Once I have the adaptor/camera set up I will follow the post set up outlined above. If you feel anything else should be added to the list please feel free too add on. Again, thank you.

I dont think the adapter would provide enough power for 2 cams. You'd be better off getting one cam that does front and back

Does anyone know how to get behind the center console in the headliner? Don't see any screws but afraid to test if it snaps into place. Be just my luck there's a hidden screw or 2.

It supposedly snaps into place so just get a corner and pull it out. I haven't ever tried it though

Are they calling the console the map light?

"1. Remove the front map light by pulling on the corner till it pops out."

When I installed my Meso map lights I popped it out, no screws. The whole console.

Did you have to buy anything to go from the camera to the rear view mirror adapter? Looking at it, I cant tell if the camera comes with the needed hardware.

The Garmin mini comes with two micro usb cords that are both entirely too long to be used with the mirror adapter. I bought a 6 inch right angle micro usb cable from Amazon when I ordered the camera. It worked perfectly

Do you have a link to the USB cable you used on the front one? Hard to figure out which right angle needed on each side and such, would be nice to just know what works. It looks great on yours!

Do you think a 3.5" micro usb cable would be long enough?

It would be tight, but I'm sure you could make it work if you mounted the camera closer to the adapter. If nothing else you could try it and see what happens. Then order a cable if it isn't long enough. I used one of these and it worked perfectly for how I set it up
