Left work later than I wanted to and had my mirrored lens (daytime only) on my helmet. Was driving down a back road about a half a mile from my house and didn't see the stick/log in the middle of the road. Dodged it with my front tire but it caught the back and I was just along for the ride. Went down at around 40 and did a couple rolls before falling down the ditch.

Somehow the the center stand came down and the bike dragged along the stand and the bar end mostly but the fairing and crankcase was scratched up a little bit.

First time for me. Hopefully my last but glad it happened the way it did. I was wearing full gear and it saved me some nice rash.

Dress for the crash not for the ride. Glad I did.

Frame sliders for this bike you have to drill a hole in the fairing and I only spent $1200 on.

    Thanks everyone.

Glad you are ok. Did you have your daytime shield up? I use a dark smoke shield and ride with it up at night.

I did not. I was going through a 300 yard stretch of trees at about 8:30 pm. So out in the open it wasn't too too dark but in the trees it was pretty bad. I just thought I could make it through the patch without bringing the shield up.

Thanks Danny. I bet being a firefighter you have seen WAY worse. I was lucky.
