Right on, I can help point you in the right direction @Jm24659 . What are you wanting to use the truck for? Are you leaning toward a particular stage?

@icon_rep Well I really want to try to do every trail I can in North America so aiming for whatever can get me through all that. Im looking at a stage 6 but I don't know if that would be over kill?

I'm looking at upgrading my suspension as well. I'll soon be adding around 500 more pounds to my ride between a rack, RTT, and some belly pans. I'd like to get an additional 2 or 3 inches of lift from stock height. Any suggestions? I've been looking at the Stage 5 kit.

I don't think the Stage 6 is over kill at all @Jm24659 . The CDC Valves that come installed in the shocks give you the flexibility to tune the shocks between on-road comfort for the highway to get to the trail and off-road performance when you need it. It's the best overall package for a truck that see both uses and I always recommend the adjustable shocks if they fit in the budget.

Beacause of the weight that you are adding to the rear of the truck the add-a-leaf pack may not be your best route @Citizen Rob. The AAL is designed to be installed in place of the overload leaf in the factory leaf pack and will lower the payload capacity by about 10% will improve the ride quality. So I'd expect the truck to sit a little lower than advertised with your gear installed. Leaving the factory pack alone or installing a new full leaf pack may be a better option. The rest of the components that come with the Stage 5 kit should should work great for what your doing. Are you adding any weight to the front of the truck besides the skids?

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
@icon_rep what service interval do you guys recommend shock rebuilds? Is there any way a bit of a break could be cut if all 4 shocks were being done at the same time?

We usually recommend service the shocks around 40,000 miles but can vary quite a bit depending on how they are used @digitaLbraVo . Here's a snippet of our recommend service intervals from our shock install instructions for a reference.

We don't offer any package deals for shock service but there a lot of shops that can service shocks these days, some may offer discounts for multiple shocks. You'd just have to check around.

I have a icon 2.5s with 700 pound coils on my truck. If I were to switch over to an aluminum bumper (65-70lbs) will those 700 pound coils be overkill?

Are you currently running a steel front bumper @Tacoma SS?

Okay, i think the 700 lbs coils will be a little heavy with that light of a bumper. Our standard 650 lb rate will probably work much better. @Tacoma SS

    @icon_rep

Please highlight the qualities that you believe sets ICON Vehicle Dynamics apart from the rest of the aftermarket suspension offerings for Toyota. Why should consumers choose you?

It has been reported that ICON shocks are the only major player on the market to use a digressive damping profile compared to the progressive damping profiles of all of the other makers. Why do you believe that a digressive damping profile is a better choice for on and off-road performance?

Glad to have some forum support! I'll be ordering a stage 7 kit in the spring. I use a RTT and will have about 500lbs of weight in the bed and then a winch with synthetic line up front.

I'm planning on full replacement springs (along the lines of Deaver U402) and getting the rear shocks spec'd to these springs. Are these available or will it be totally custom?

Any updates on the S2 kit for the 2016+ trucks?

Looking forward to getting my truck in 2 months and then let the build begin!

@icon_rep I just bought a Stage 3 (hasn't shipped yet) for my 2013 TRD Offroad, I'll be using my truck mainly on road during the week and off road on weekends. Will I need to adjust this kit at all out of the box or should I be good to go and install as is? I'm pretty happy with my stock suspension ride now as its a good balance on and offroad and I just want to know that in addition to the lift my ride quality will at least stay the same or get better. I'm running LT265/75 R16, aluminum bumper and bed rack and I pull a 1300 lb boat too. I'm open to suggestions and any upgrades you can think of. Thanks!

What would you recommend for a heavy front end truck?? Fab Four full guard bumper, Warn 9.5cti winch plus full set of RCI steel skids. I have Toytec 620lbs coils with 5100. Running OME leaf packs with 5100 in the rear.
