    were do you fill your transmission fluid on a 1996 toyota tacoma?
    I don't see a spot to fill from.
    I know how to change and fill my oil but don't see the fill point for the transmission fluid.

    I think there was already a post on here for the auto trans and it is a dealer deal. You have to take it to them

    I would:
    1. Check the FSM sticky near the top of the page, and click on link;

    2. On the NCTTORA page, scroll down to 01-04 FSM [EDIT: which won't be helpful; then move on to the FSM for your vehicle year] (online version), and click on link;

    3. Search on page (using internet browser search feature) for "MT - Manual Transmission" or "AT - Automatic Transmission" (should be halfway down on page); and,

    4. Check in respective section.

    I did this about 50k ago, and it was a cinch; mine's an '03 5VZ-FE w/Automatic Transmission. Just make sure you have enough fluid before you start. Good luck!

    assuming you're talking about an auto trany, you fill it via the dipstick tube using a funnel.
