Hey all, a couple of us are coming up from Charleston this weekend. Fishing near Brevard Friday, and running Hurricane Creek to Max Patch Saturday. No thread for this but it would be cool to have a few more rigs. One truck is a bone stock tacoma TRDOR.

Does anyone have an update on the ruts at the top? I figure it shouldn’t be bad based on the dry conditions lately. Thanks!

What time do you think you'll be at the trailhead for Hurricane Creek?

It's raining up here today. I saw a recent update on OverlandBound that the ruts are definitely still there. Stock off-road with good lines should be okay.

Seconded, what time y'all plan on getting there Saturday? If I don't end up wrenching on my bike I might be down.

    Thanks for the feedback.

I don’t have a set time yet. The plan is to start the trail before lunch so we can find a site before it gets too dark. I’ll keep this updated as we finalize the plan tomorrow.

Rained Thursday. Friday/Friday night is/will be cold. 40 right now at 3700'. Predicted 20s tonight.
Saturday looks clear. Cold again. The jet stream has dropped.
All the leaves fell recently, may only be a few in the trees. So, the views will be clearer without the leaves blocking.
    Have fun.

Easy trail, just has some pretty consequential spots if you’re not paying attention. It’s no harder than hurricane if you take your time and make good lines

Hi everyone, brand new to this forum so I’m not sure if this is even the right place to ask this. I have just recently moved to the Asheville area and am in need of a cmc. Does anyone know of anybody nearby that does good work. Any info is greatly appreciated!

Thanks man! I was hoping to find someone a little closer but I’ll definitely check them out. I’d be willing to drive for good work.

I actually moved to the Arden area, and work in Asheville, so I’m sure we’ve probably crossed paths at some point haha. Haven’t been up here very long but seems to be plenty of places to play in the Tacoma.
