Wondering what the best solution is for me based on what’s currently on the market. It’s overwhelming with the various model types available through Lear and ARE.

I’m based in Canada and want something that will be used for storing gear 90% of the time but for occasional camping and sleeping out of from time to time. This is for a short bed.

The RSI sport is nice but expensive. Leer 100r or 100xr or 100rcc are other options. Not sure what I should be spending more on in terms of features. Never owned a cap before.

what types offer good security, reliability and resale say 5 years down the road?

A lot of them lol. My favorite is the driver’s side tool box. The cap is color matched, I also ordered color matched doors with locking black handles. You can pick between black ones in the bottom corners or one big chrome one in the center if you get the side doors instead of windows.

It has a carpeted interior and a center 12 volt rope light that’s connected to the truck’s main battery. I also bribed my wife into letting me get it by having them install a clothes hanger that folds down from the ceiling so she can hang up her nicer stuff when we’re on long trips.

I forgot to add it also has the Yakima roof racks and a sliding rear window that matches the one on the rear truck glass.

Thanks, are the windoors on yours solid or glass? Looks heavily tinted if this is glass: curious to know if this is standard?

They’re solid panels, not glass. I wanted alot of security so I did as little glass as possible. I kept the rear facing window glass so I could still use the rear view mirror.

+1 on the ARE CX series. Good value for the money. I got it about 6 weeks ago and it's been a great addition to the truck. I was a bit more limited on the options though - LED strip lights and dome light with a prop switch so they come on whenever you open the topper rear window, carpeted head liner, and tilt-down front window so I can still clean the truck rear window. FYI, I did decide to put bed stiffeners on the truck because of the added constant 185 lbs on the sides of the bed, but it's probably overkill.
