    Not because it’s Friday....

There’s been a couple of longstanding members who request perma bans - at least as reported by the Mods.

I’m trying to wrap my head around why someone would want to request being permaband?

    Have they no self control?
Don’t they know how to log out?

    Is it a big FU?
A last gasp at a dramatic exit?

I see a lot doing it around political posts. I for one come here to escape the political bs because it seeps into all the other groups I’m in. Someone posts a pic but makes sure they have some flag or sticker showing then the triggering intensifies and it gets stupid. I appreciate the mods keeping this space for its intentions for sure. I hate politics and none of it matters because none of them give a crap about us anyways :hattip:

People don't like to be told what to do, it's human nature.

There are rules, when people break the rules they get told what to do and in their prideful ways they run. Instead of swallowing their pride, accepting what they've done and accepting the consequences they want out thinking it makes them the bigger person.

Being bitter toward someone is like drinking poison and hoping the other person dies.

Don't be bitter, swallow your pride, accept the consequences and live.

Just don't open it, sheesh, how hard is that NOT to do?

It's like a firearm thread or a Chevy thread, if you don't want to look at it or you don't like them, move on to something you do like or interests you.

In the end, it's all about growing up and that seems to be sadly lacking in society today.

Now lick the Cheeto dust off your fingers, walk up the stairs from Moms basement, squint your eyes at that big bright orb in the sky and get a job and a life!!!!!:sadviolin:

Oh and he didn't request a perma as much as he requested his account removed. He won the perma fair and square.

Politics is isn’t the problem. The issue is that no one can have a civil conversation about politics. Everyone gets offended by people that don’t agree with them. Or they simply can’t articulate they point of view so it devolves into everyone insulting each other. It’s unproductive and sad because politics is really important. We need people to have actual informed opinions instead of headline opinions. But no one can’t talk about it in a productive way.

Agreed, I used to enjoy good debates around policy it just seems everything is just on the extreme end of both sides these days when the reality is most of us are pretty moderate

So if you remove someone’s account, does that delete all their posts/messages?

As if they were never here except for the echos seen in quoted posts?
