    Hi,

I am redoing my original post. Made it too wordy. So hopefully I'll cut to the chase this time around.

I'm looking for a standard load tire to wrap around TRD Pro 17x7 wheels.
    • Don't want to do any modifications to my truck such as lifting, cutting, or removing parts.
    • Don't want tire to rub when wheels are articulating.
    • I don't mind space in well.
    • I don't mind skinny.
So.....which tire size should I consider?
    • 235/75/17
    • 245/70/17
    • 255/70/17
    • 245/75/17 (approx 31.5")
Share photos if you got 'em!

    Thank you.

Thanks. I am leaning towards 255 (assuming it'll clear everything in the fender well). But the hang up now is that 235 has very similar dimensions. So trying to decide between the two.

I compared the 2 tires using the tirecalc link (thanks Rob for the link):
    235/75/17
    255/70/17

The largest and most significant difference between the two is width. The 255 is .79" wider than 235. The rest of numbers are so close, the difference looks negligible. So at this point, I guess looks and price would be the deciding factor between the two. Not sure why these tire sizes are very similar in dimensions.

    I run 255-70-17 stock suspension.
    No rubbing.

    Because simple math.

The aspect ratio (the 70, 75 etc numbers) is a % of the tread width. So 70% of 255 is close to 75% of 235.
