Been neglecting my 98 Taco (but have performed regular oil changes) for 135,000 miles. Time to give some mechanical love back to this ultra-dependable machine. Bought it ten years ago when it already had 114,000 (now it’s at 250,000) and used it as a DD, using 4wd for snow several times a year and 4w low maybe twice per year. It’s a 5VZ, manual, with rear locker (hasn’t worked since I purchased). Caught the mechanican bug after discovering the wealth of online videos and successfully trying my hand at replacing the timing belt and valve cover gaskets. Next up in order of priority: O2 sensors; aftermarket elocker wiring harness; struts and shocks; new leaf springs; front bumper; and maybe paint. Any and all inspiration and suggestions are appreciated! Thanks all.
