Why are you even asking this lol. I'll be the first to say my tacoma has plenty of issues, but what annoys me may not annoy you. Drive it for a few thousand miles and you'll find out what you like and don't like. If you get lucky you wont have a single problem that is listed here.

Here's an interesting look at that Consumer Reports video. Some good points made about how CR came to their conclusion and how they contradict themselves on their own website.......

I wonder how they get away with that. Is it just because "we use alloy 2xxx, 7xxx, etc and so does the military"? Or is it oh look, there is a Milspec available for the same alloy we use under certain circumstances? I work in commercial aerospace so I'm not familiar with too many milspecs, but MMPDS is the bible for material allowables. I'm pretty sure that is used everywhere.

It is used everywhere. Out of all the auto manufacturers I would say that Ford has the best Marketing.

Makes you wonder about the new Ranger. Ford's marketing department don't want the F-150 to lose sales to their own Ranger. Which might cause them to lose their bragging rights of having the best selling vehicle in the country for the past 40 years. Even though several of those years the Chevy and GMC combined sales were greater then the Ford's.

I THINK I see what you're coming from OP but it's kinda ridiculous to ask a question like this. Most of the complaints you can find from basic research.

The interior complaint is hilarious to me. I complain that this truck doesn't fly. Is that a valid complaint? The people on here....

I don't think you should come here asking what you will dislike. You bought the truck for a reason, so come on here and learn cool stuff. Have a positive mindset about it, and I think you'll truly enjoy it. Too many people will complain about it. If something goes wrong, you take it and get it fixed. I've seem problems from all brands. My Jeep Wranglers were always the worst, but I still loved them.

I think the truck is pretty good but I agree that it needs more power. I think they need a supercharger or turbo ...maybe a tune chip. It just does not shift very well and when I tow my little 3,000lb utility trailer it works real hard to pull it harder than it should

Oh also I think the other thing that bothers me is the vibration in the steering wheel when I'm driving on the freeway and the seats are not very comfrotable for a long drive. The dealer tells me this is normal but they say that about everything. Tires balanced and it still does it. Otherwise I think it is the best truck we can get in the midsize, nothing else is really as new looking. It has better looks than the Colorado but the little diesel is very tempting. If i cannot get this truck more power in the next year or so I will dump it off for something better. Maybe back to a full size. I am missing my V8 and my chevy never gave me a single problem in 8 years over 120,000!! I just wanted something a bit smaller but maybe size does matter!!! :D

I agree that it should have more power but I also do not believe the truck is under powered at the same time.

If you had more power in the engine you would still want more power. At least i would.

    It's not an automatic.
    It's not a double cab.
    It's not Quicksand.
    It's not a TRD OR.

The truck does well enough. It doesn't pull as hard off the line like my frontier does but at cruising speed I can't tell the difference.
