    you can save money by running no antenna at all if you have xm radio or mp3

    tacowestley- just took off the original base from the Tc antenna, by wiggling it out. it should come off with some force. cut the base from the stock antenna, grinded and sand it down to where it would fit on the Tc antenna. epoxy in place and bam no loss in reception. easy mod if you don't want to go the stubby route

    this is the sanded and grinded down base from the stock antenna

    After trying the antenna x 13 inch I get great fm and am reception around Los Angeles and Orange County. Applied a little loc tite on the threads to keep twisting hands off it.

    Great look, flexible, cost effective and looks great

    I like having the stock antenna on, it always scrapes on low overhanging pipes and beams when I'm driving in parking garages. Its like a warning that I'm about to hit my roof on something and need to proceed with caution. Why give that up?!
