Stock. It pinpoints the exactly perfect spot for the Taco in my garage so I can still walk around the truck. I have a golf ball hanging that just touches it when I pull in.

I've been using an old through the glass CB antenna lately. Works good and it's something different....

I just ordered the 13" AntennaX one.. Ive been using a cheapo 6 dollar one I got from AutoZone. And it bends really easy and now the paint is starting to peal off.

Just picked up the 14" AntennaX. Sounds good, cannot note any change in reception. Looks good, of course.

I dont listen to the Radio, but I hate the stock Entenna. Just want something that looks better and isnt soo long. But will give me good Reception when/if I do liten to Radio.

It would always hit on tree branches and shit... It was annoying.

Same here, so I just trimmed my OEM to +/- 18''. If you take some bolt cutters, you can trim your stock antenna to any length you want then put some electrical tape around the end so it isn't so jagged, or take the little ball from the part you trimmed, cut that off and superglue it back onto the trimmed antenna. Looks good and you can't even tell unless you're really looking at it.

Sorry but I have a negative review. I just picked up one of your 13" and the reception is terrible. I live in the heart of the city. I am assuming if I leave the city my coverage will be no existent. Do you except returns if the customer is not satisfied?

If I could do it over I would just cut the stock and save my money. Which is what I'm going to do tmrw.

I am currently looking at the 14" Billet Antenna from AntennaX. Does anyone have a picture from a 1st generation Tacoma 2001-2004? I saw a picture from page 2 on this thread submitted by lynryd3 with a 2nd generation and there appeared to be a small gap between the antenna holder and the antenna. Maybe he is missing the adapter. Anyways it seems antennaX is a quality product, just looking for help to make a final decision

hmm. I hear people saying they lost stock in car wash. I always always remove mine before I go into an automated car wash. I don't want it getting ripped off, and then twirled into the side of my truck for 3 minutes.

I was going to get a stubby, but with everyone saying reception sucks I'm debating the AntennaX now. I'm in Vegas, and with NO antenna I lost a few pre-sets, but as long as it's close to stock I'll be fine. I might just cut mine down to 16-18inches this weekend.
