Staying with stock also. My last truck had a simulated fishing pole that I picked up at a marina in Idaho, but truck got totaled, and did not think of recovering it as it went off to the grave yard.

I like the way the stock one works and looks, plus I also like to use it for a feeler gauge.

Hahah, don't even have one! Someone ripped it off before I bought the truck, I guess. I haven't had the truck long, and there's more important things that it needs before I worry about an antenna.

    Docs,

How do you like that antenna? I did a search and one member said it doesn't sit flush with the antenna mounting base.

At $16 it's not a deal-breaker, but just want your thoughts on it overall.

You're right, it doesn't sit flush, but the antenna comes with an "adapter" and you can't even tell!

As for reception, I listen to XM, so can't comment on reception. However, I read you shouldn't go shorter than 13" to avoid losing your radio signal.

Does anybody know where I can find a new antenna mast? Or does anybody have an extra one for sale? I'm not trying to go the dealership but its starting to look that way. :(
