I was wanting to put these in my rear door of 07 double cab.
    Alpine SPS-17C2
Crutchfield says they will not fit...does anyone know the reason why...is there a depth issue ...or can I buy a different adapter that will allow it, they say this model will fit the front. Crutchfield has a very limited amount of speakers for the back door without going to components. I like these do to the fact that it seems that a lot of people like the low end on these. I will be replacing the fronts with components. I have chosen these Polk db6500

Thanks for the time. AND YES I CAN SPELL THAT THEM THERE SPEEKER

Actually it's speaker, but who cares we get the point. The reason those don't fit is because of the depth. But what Crutchfield doesnt tell you is that they don't fit by directly replacing them without adapters. I don't think there are any speakers out there, yet, that will be a direct replacement for Tacoma factory speakers without the use of adapters. If you buy adapters such as the ones from ********* or make your own from 3/4 inch MDF, you will be able to use those speakers.

    Thanks Jesse,

I see where you answered my other thread. I just ordered some Pioneer TS-C720PRS's along with some Mr. Marv's baffles.
