Ok so I know theres a whole section dedicated to Wheels and Tires, but I want to know what tires people are running in the southeast. I am looking to start doing some moderate off-roading when i get back from this deployment and need some new shoes. I have been doing the research for all the different tires that I have read but I want to know from people in my AREA! So I putting up a poll for the ones I am looking at. There will be an other so please let me know if you have some good tires. I DON'T want a lot of road noise or fast wear.

    Thanks

    Dennis

ive run in this order with a rough estimate of mileage

    Trxus M/T 15K
    Mastercraft Courser MT 20K+
BFG MT KM 10K or so
Nitto Terra Grappler less than 5K so far

the Trxus were worn out...none of the others wore out in that mileage but i switched to change sizes or for some other reason

All of the MT tires worked great offroad with the best OR performance coming from the Trxus

the Mastercrafts were the best overall...very quiet and hooked up pretty well in the mud...they have a very similar tread pattern to the old BFG MT KM

When i lived down there I had Bfg at ko and didn't like them all that much. They hate clay and anything besides a dry road. I now have General Grabber at2's and so far I am liking them. And they saw a bit of snow/ice this morning.

I know you looking for replies from people in the Southeast US, but I have the Cooper STT's up here in Canada. They work really good in the snow, sand, mud, and little road nosie. I got mine used so I can't tell you how they are for wear. I would get again, but they are too pricey for me to buy again. I hear tires are better priced in the US, so maybe you will get a better price then me. Up here $1600 for 4 roughly.

Give the Goodyear Wrangler Authorities A/T a try. Its a new tire. I'm the only one that I know of on here that has them. You can see pics of them in my build thread. They aren't loud and do really good offroad in all situations. I've owned Bridgestone Duelers, BFG A/Ts, and the Authorities. I'm going with a mud terrain with my 6" lift but if I ever have to buy another set of A/T tires it will be the Authorities.
