The Destination A/Ts are a decent tire for the price. I had them when my truck was stock. I have the BFG A/Ts now.......get the Firestone. They are quieter, cheaper, and have great traction on and offroad.

I have these - it's a pretty capable tire and a good buy.

I put Bridgestone Dueler Revos on my Tundra and loved them so much I put a set on my wife's 4Runner. Great wet weather traction and not a lot of road noise. Plus they look agressive as hell with the blackwall. I dont think you can do much better than the Revos.
On the other hand if you look at the reviews on TireRack they say that the Firestone tires aren't bad. The Revos were ranked first in wet and dry traction which is what I looked at.

Whenever I get new tires it will either be the Destination AT's or the Revos. Don't know if the Revos are worth the extra ~$200 though.

I'm gunna throw another vote down for the BFG AT KO's. I had them on my ranger in oregon (nothing but rain and snow for the 6mo in winter I was there) and I seriously was hard pressed to break traction tarmac or not. 2wd also. I swapped out the stock bfg rugged trails on my taco for the AT's, best thing I've done yet. Those RT's suck monkey balls. The only thing they were good at was dirt/gravel roads. Even then, the AT's are better at it.

I am also intrested in buying some at tires. I was looking at the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor, is anybody running these tire? The ratings on tire rack are pretty good, not as good as the firestones but I have heard that they are a pretty decent tire. I dont want to spend more for the Goodyears if the Firestones perform better.

All the tires mentioned seem pretty good save one, the Perelli'. A friend had them on his truck a found them to be poor on traction and mileage.

my mom has the silent armor on her 4 runner and for what they are they are a pretty good tire. hardly any road noise, good wet and dry traction and a good appearance. i don't know what the treadwear is like yet but i do know that the price was outrageous even though she did get one free. the one time i had them off road they seemed respectable but not spectacular as they are a meaty road tire at heart.

I got the Firestone Destination A/Ts because of the lack of road noise and the balance between snow traction, wet traction, dry traction, and hydroplaning resistance.

Good link, the Firestones were definately in the running along with the REVOs and Silent Armors when I was looking to replace the stockers. I can't get over the mileage reported on the REVOs, Dave T. is right that those are friggin popular and rightly so...... that is the tire I am going to next after my Silent Armors wear out.

So far so good with them, not exactly happy in the snow so I am switching to a dedicated snow tire next week. I always ran blizzaks before on my Tundra, time to $$$ up and feel better while towing.
