I really like how that looks.. I also have a couple of brand new bare steel CBI sliders sitting in my work room. Care to share what kind of grip tape you used there?

If I remember I'll update. The package said it's made for outdoor use. I've done a lot of skateboarding in my life, and this is definitely better than skateboard grip tape.

In that picture it had only been on for a few miuntes. :)

Yes they are. They are SR8's. Bolts were replaced with black ones...

Nice did you get these recently? In bought mine from him a few months ago. Just wondering if he's back up and running again.

No, I have had them for a while. Mine were actually the first set for DCLB.
He was pretty quick about turn-around. 3-4weeks IIRC

One person install with 2 jackstands and a jack. Passenger side is a lot easier took less than 3 hours and the driver side about 4. Two of those hours are pretty much cursing. Its a real PITA installation. Grab a buddy its probably a lot easier. Air ratchet wrench makes installation a lot easier especially when feeding the thread to the bolt. Otherwise quality of the sliders is top notch. Very heavy at 75lbs each since I ordered it with fill plate as needed steps for my kids. You will be happy with it! goodluck!

Thanks! Yeah I skipped the filler plate just to save a few pounds on each side. I'll have my dad help me, hopefully it'll go quick. As soon as I get them, it'll be off to powdercoat and then install asap so I don't get any more door dings lol.

Sliders in this thread look awesome.

Just an fyi for the noobs... I know most of you already realize this:
If you buy a set that are bare metal. Understand that no matter how you prep and paint them that it will be a yearly task of touching them up. Either from road conditions or actually using them to scrap and slide over things. If you are just looking for a step there are probably easier options if you never go off pavement.

Hefty fabworks, a lot of sliders I looked at were too short in my opinion. These were the perfect length. Install took less than an hour. They have done everything I expected. Put them right into the side of a big rock to make a turn the other day on the trail.

I put Opor Metaltech on mine. weight about 140 lbs total. they have step plates. They were tough to put on but would have been easier if I had had a corded drill with a better drill bits. The frame does not have holes in the bottom to mount them to. it took 2 of us about 3-4 hours.

    BAMF sliders for me.

It was a long 15 week wait but well worth it!! These things are build like a tank and weigh like one too. Install was tough due to the weight but all the mounting holes lined up exactly as advertised. Got mine built with the kick out which is also going to help as a step up into the bed. I got mine with their new thermoplastic based powder coat which will allow for easier repairs when I mark them up on rocks (BAMF will be selling a repair kit for them soon not sure when it will be ready). Welds are top notch and I have NO worries about my rocker panels or side of my DCLB on the trails at this point.

I got the CBI sliders with kick out - Actually I ordered without kick out, but this is what I got, and it's saved my butt already.

Looks like it may be time to remove that sway bar and work to get more out of the rear.

    Great sliders though.
