I'm new to photography also, but I've been told I have a keen eye for detail... I love playing in Adobe PS and LR. I use a Canon t3i with 18-55mm & 75-300mm. I'm saving up for a 17-55m f/2.8 lens. :D

New member here with a new Tacoma... also a fan of photography on the side... shoot with a Canon EOS 7D. My two main "go to" lenses are my Canon EF 24-105 f/4L and Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8L.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
I have a Canon Digital Rebel (original) and use it for anything that I really want to focus in on or is in a low light situation. I keep a Nikon L830 in my truck at all times though, it is semi-compact but has many adjustments and a 34x optical zoom. Plus the L830 takes pretty great images for not being an SLR.

I have a lot of cameras, so it's tough to say which is my one camera that I shoot with. Each one serves a different purpose. So here's a short list.

    • Canon 5d MKiii - This is my primary digital camera.
    • Toyo 45AII - This is my favorite 4x5 film camera that I predominately shoot with, maybe even more than the Canon.
    • Toyo 810M - This is an 8x10 film camera that I break out occasionally.
    • Fuji GX617 - This is one of my favorite cameras. It's a panoramic film camera with a 6x17 aspect ratio.

I have several others such as 4x5 Crown Graphics, Century and Ansco 8x10 studio cameras, and a Contax 645. I love them all.

Here's my website of with some of my landscape images: www.mikeboden.com

I've gone through an XSi to a 60D and now made the jump to a 6D last summer before I departed for my last major photo trip. I miss the reach of the crop sensor at times when my longest lens is a 70-300. Can't decide if I want to buy a 70D or a MkI 100-400.

Next purchase however will likely be a Samyang 14mm f2.8 for astrophotography this spring.
