If your a member of costco, buy it through them( there auto buying services, youll talk to a different salesperson at the dealership, and dont have to worry about markup or hastling), youll get it for 500 above invoice, and still get all rebates, Make sure you get the offroad model so you can get th e-locker and not have to put 1 in later.

    Maybe and then maybe not

When I was buying my 08 I talked to a dealer and made my best deal which they gave as 10% over invoice and a decent trade in value to subtract from that.

I then went through Costco and and it was a different dealerright down the road they sent me too, the price out the door was $900 and change more then the first deal I made due to a little creative accounting they were trying to pull with trade value and dealer prep fees.

After 1 1/2 hours of haggling I walked out the door paying $1200 less then the supposed great Costco deal.

Same thing happened to my sister a couple months ago, she knew about the creative accounting from me so haggled down the supposed Costco deal by several hundred bucks

i got mine $300 above invoice plus $1500 off....i think that $1500 off deal is over now though..msrp on mine was 21,350 or something like that and i got it for 19,997 tax and all....taxes really add up ...basically the 1500 off covered the taxes and tag etc. for the most part

Good you got a deal up there in the north west... I know when i bought my 08, they came in at 6k under msrp and that was at Toyota of San Diego. Now of course with everything Your mileage is going to vary. All i can say is shop around, times are tough for the car dealers, not so much for toyota, but there are deals out there and Costco is just another avenue to find what you want. Good luck bro.

I was quoted $1200 below invoice for anything on the lot at a local dealer fleet department for 2010's. Is that good? Should I expect higher or lower?

$1200 below invoice sounds like a pretty damn good deal. Just make sure they don't screw you on the back end with junk fees and junk :D

Took me a month to do it, but got em from 29K to 27K. Then told em I'd take it home that day if they met me at $26,500.

Then I reminded them that recent college grads get $1000 towards their downpayment if they are working in the field of their degree. Patience really helps. And living in a poor part of the country does, too.

Okay, my first post so here it goes: Got my 2010 double cab, short bed, 4WD TRD Off-Road, 6-speed last Saturday. Traded my 06 Tundra Access 2wd V6 with 25k miles and got $13,500. Sticker on the new truck was $31+ and I got it down to $29, which was about $700 over invoice.
