    Hey TW,:)

I'm of the opinion that the plastic wheel trim on my truck looks quite tacky, that and it's popping out a bit on a couple of the wheels.
I've ordered a set of 255/85 Cooper ST MAXXs so I figure it's a good time to sand and spray my stock steelies since I have to have the old tires off anyway.

So, what would you guys do?
Give me your advice keeping in mind that I've got Impulse Red Pearl on the body and will be doing plenty of on and off road driving.

Gunmetal would look good. Bronze might also.

I've been seriously considering white, my only concern is how shit they'll look when dirty/mud splattered/etc.

Still though.. who cares. White wheels are sexy:cool:

Gunmetal or similar metalic gray will look good with the red.

    Hmm hadn't thought of plastidip..
Are you suggesting doing plastidip as a trial and riding around with them for a week then taking the tires off again and spraying them for real if I like it?

So is that a vote for black rims and rocking chrome plastic on top??
Cmon man, I put every color of the rainbow on the poll and now you're telling me I should have put every color plus w/plastic trim?!

    crap..:D

Although I value the suggestion, I am somewhat pressed for time so I may have to just pick a color and stick with it.

A lot of suggestions for gunmetal..
Hadn't considered it but I kinda like it.

    Keep 'em comin!

You dont have $20 and an hour?

Each wheel should take 15 mins to clean and plastidip.

I was referring to the fact that I don't have time to tool around with the rims painted a certain color for a few days to see if I like them and then paint them accordingly.
Assuming that the plastidip does its job and warns me against doing a specific color then I'll have to try another color or 2 before I settle on one.

The painting itself basically takes a week.. plastidipping 2 or 3 colors is another 2 weeks of deciding whether or not I like the new color.

I realistically speaking don't have the better part of a month to experiment around.
That being said, I'd rather have the best color than waste all that time and paint on something i don't like/need to replace.

Also good sir, if by "clean" you mean to clear of rust..

    No.

It'll likely take me 6 or 7 hours to do a proper sanding job on all 4 wheels.

If what your meant by "clean" is to isopropyl after de-rusting then yes, that is a fair estimate.

    Finally,

I was worried that no one would notice how painstakingly I laid out the colors of the rainbow in lieu of trying to figure out all the colors someone would realistically spray rims.

    Thanks!;)

Honestly, I always liked the look of a bronze or goldish colored wheel. Black is classic too, looks good on everything.
