    I am the same way. I have 3 or 4 old PC's laying around. I'm having my 12 year old Son remove the components, plus it gives him some experience with the workings of a pc. I explain to him as he removes the part, what each one does. I save just the important items & trash the rest. Free hard drives make great external backups. $20 for an external case from tigerdirect. I have 2 from old pc's.

    it hasnt failed me yet. it definetly is faster than alot of the dual cores out there and feels like it has quad core processing capabilties but not just quite. but for the basic internet surfing and such its lighting fast, no waiting for page loads and multiple programs run smooth with alot of processing power left to spare.
