That's what my coworker literally just said, and I told him that I have OBSERVED that MAJORITY of female tacoma drivers are driving 2WD ones. Which is a whole other topic. Like I said before, OP wants our input. Here's mine

How come you chose 2WD instead of 4WD?

I guess I could say to let my inner lady free, but as the photo shows, not a 2wd.

Unless I put the 4x4 stickers on to hide my inner lady, guess you will never know.

What in the hell are you used to driving? My OR is the softest ride I've ever had in a vehicle except for the Buick i was driving for ~8 months

FYI its a great idea for everyone that offroads their tacoma to learn how to manually operate their 4WD. The actuator is on the driver's side of the front diff, very accessible with a basic set of tools which you should have on you anyways. You can get under there and manually engage/disengage your own 4wd in <10min with a screw driver and pliers (maybe a 10mm socket too I forget).

Has anyone done an actual How To for this? Could be a pretty handy sticky.

Did you have the transmission TSB done on yours? Maybe the Sport had the latest update, and yours has not?

Here's a big thread on it with more links than I have time to go through right now:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/transfer-case-transfer-cases-in-first-and-2nd-gen-trucks.345652/

Here's a more specific one with the front diff:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/how-to-trouble-shoot-4x4-actuator.263525/

When it happened to me in my 2nd gen I was actually stuck in 2wd and didn't want to cancel my trip, so I just pulled out the actuator and just fucked with it until it worked, not much to mess up if you're careful and there's only 3 positions the actuator can go in so you don't necessarily need to know which one just mess with try whatever two its NOT in until you get the desired result.

The OR has a brake booster, however if I just read the 2018 brochure correctly, all tacos have the brake booster now.
