I can't say if one is better than the other as I am a beginner, Creality seems to be the most popular.
This is what I have, first printer, and it seems to be doing fine.
    I think it's a similar size to the Ender 3 V2

I saw one of these on display at the zoo when my kids were younger.

go for the V3, either SE or KE. The SE is a little cheaper, i got mine from micro center for around $170. that, 2 rolls of PLA and random stuff cost me around $220. The V3, both SE and KE, have auto bed levelling which is worth whatever the extra price is. I think the KE has a touch screen and something else that is a little better, maybe built in wifi? it is a little annoying having to put the prints on a SD card, but not worth $50 to me right now.

Thanks for the suggestion! I see that the V3 SE can only print PLA, PETG, TPU(95A). It doesn't list ABS and I want to be able to use ABS as well as the other filaments. I've read good things on the Sovol 6 SV06 and I think I'm going that route.

    Yeah.
I think most FDM printers can do ABS, but printing ABS releases toxic fumes, so you need to print in the garage with the door open or have some kind of hood and exhaust.

The SV06 seems to be compatible with a variety of filament like Carbon Fiber & wood, and has a 300C max temp for the extruder, so there are some other reasons why I am leaning towards it.

Printed an adapter to hold a bubble level for my camera tripod. Since this is primarily used outdoors, it was printed in ASA

    Yeah.
Not printing much lately, got a clog that kept coming back, so I ordered a Micro Swiss hot end to refresh stuff. Couldn't get the grub screw for the heater cartridge to break loose and stripped it, so I ordered new cartridges and thermistors and some new PTFE tubing. So, printer is getting a good refresh over the weekend.

My kid also got a toy cash register recently and he wanted more toy currency for it so I drew up and printed a bunch of coins for him. The design was perfect for trying out some PLA support filament that came with my printer. Using it as a solid interface layer prevents the bridging or rough surface you would see with traditional supports (top side on the left, bottom supported side on the right)

And a raft I designed for fun with ducks from Tinkercad placed inside.
I need to order some yellow.

Playing with the effects of colors behind colors. Hopefully this turns out the way I think it will, because I can't see it until the print is finished.

It's going to look like this... except it'll be the complete opposite and absolutely nothing like this. :cookiemonster:

And that's like an 84hour print?

Everytime I'm in here it seems things take 3-5 business days to create I don't know

I'm printing with my regular 0.4 nozzle and my printer is naturally slow...

This is the estimate on the lid by itself.

    upload_2024-4-21_10-44-24.png

The base of the box took 17 hours, and the latches are calculated to take 40 minutes.

I could cut that time in half if I used thicker layer lines, it would just be uglier than it currently is.
