waiting on a xl version, tbh I think any auto level printer is decent at this point, but the bambus are pretty nice. I don't like their cloud stuff though.

Hoping it's 325mm+ at least, can't wait to see what they release next quarter.

Since I got the second p1p yesterday I'm doing some reorganizing to fit it in the garage. Made all the progress I can today while I wait for some carbon filament to make a set of new enclosures, cable management, tool mounts, and power strips but it's looking good so far.

What is it about certain PETG colors that makes them so finicky? :annoyed:
Brown, for instance since that's what I'm dealing with.
Two machines, both Anycubic, one Neo and one Plus.
The Plus makes beautiful prints with every color EXCEPT brown.
The Neo spits out brown prints just like any other color.
I spent 6 hours last night fussing with the Plus machine trying to get it to lay down a reliable first layer, they were goobering up, or laying too thin, clogged two nozzles, countless times re-leveling, removed the print head for cleaning, etc...
    Still wouldn't lay it down
Pulled out the Neo, set on the kitchen table, and it printed that first layer like a champ. Same brown.

tried the Plus with black, same print, and it went down perfect as well. I guess it doesn't like brown.
I sliced the files for their respective machine as well, so it's not a slicer problem, although I went through that a bunch of times last night too.

Certain blues and greens need fiddling for me to get a clean print. And also any silk or dual-color PLA. Screw those horrible materials.

I have two rolls of silk that will prolly never get used for anything. That shit sucks for anything other than art.
I should have known there might be a problem with the dark brown as it's not widely available.
I'm on my third roll, all different brands.:anonymous:

How would I go about aligning the bed to center the print better? It's like it's a couple teeth off on the belt, but I don't think that's it as the limit switches are still in play. it wasn't like this when it was new but started it a couple months back, I think it was after a software update in the slicer.

You can make it local with a little bit of work :)
    https://github.com/greghesp/ha-bambulab
    Ex. https://old.reddit.com/r/BambuLab/comments/1fn254j/i_went_fully_local_and_cant_recommend_it_enough/

You can go into the slicer and make sure the bed dimensions are correct, had it happen to me once where the bed size of the printer in the profile was a little off the actual size.

Thinking I'm gonna need a part printed out - just glad I rarely need anything otherwise I would've had to buy a printer already

Got PETG to print nicely yesterday, increased the print time a lot but what can you do, part of that was my own desire to make the infill more dense since I am printing thin covers that need to be rigid. The ol Ender 3 just needed 235* extruder temp and more aggressive retraction really (reduce the stringing I was getting). I also changed my infill pattern to gyroid and bumped the infill up to 25%.

Wuh oh. print didn't go too well. huge spaghetti mess. i hit stop print before anything.

I think a layer moved in the X direction only? the left wall is still on itself, but some grooves and mounts look off.

i think i'll wait to try this again until i have time to really babysit it.
