Depends on how you stress them. Mostly, strong in compression, weak in tension (especially in the direction where layers are oriented).

Hey guys. New to 3d printing. Went a handful of pages back and tried to use the search function, but wasn't able to find any info.

If given the chance between a Creality K1C or Bambu P1S, which would you choose and why?

My Bambu P1s has worked flawlessly since day one. Setup was crazy simple.

Absolutely the Bambu. It's the easiest printer to 1) setup and 2) to use to get good results right away.

The Bambu X1C is better than the P1S and worth it imho. I've used both at work, the quality of the prints is just better.

Anyone know why my screen has blacked out mid print? It's still printing with no issues.

    Yeah.
Connector came loose? It went to sleep to conserve power? It won't wake up?

back lights are still on so not a connector issue (at least not one visible to eye). It wouldn't wake up with I twisted or pushed the button. MAYBE there is a sleep mode that doesn't wake up till closer to completion?

    Yeah.
Odd. I don't have a Prusa, so I really have no clue, I just know I've had wiring issues as things get used. Maybe some gcode got injected that said to turn the screen off.

    Yeah.
Ok, so wood PLA is the devil. It should be obvious that running sawdust mixed with plastic through a hotend is going to have poor results, but no, I tried it anyway. First attempt clogged on a relatively new Micro Swiss hotend. Cleared it, dropped temps a bit to avoid any "char," adjusted some slicing settings, and it clogged at about the same place. It's completely fooked now, can't get the filament to pull out, can't clear the clog from the hotend.

Time to do another upgrade I guess.

Learned that during pinewood derby last year lol.

Just my kids. Cut a very basic 'skateboard' rolling chassis using the saw, do the rest on tinkercad as a 'decoration' on top of the car. Fully within the rules, and heck, since the whole tinkercad stack is being run by the kids... way more 'scout built' than a lot of cars.

Version 1.0 ended up being a fail and had to move these through holes down to avoid the copper line.

Hose clamps cause I dont trust the small screws to hold up and my fitment was not the best.

    Yeah.
Yeah, finding some other info recommending a .6 nozzle. Probably wouldn't hurt to add a little speed. Temps on the spool were 185-195 and it was actually printing nicely until it clogged.

what material did you use? I imagine the cutter puts out some good heat right?
